**About the opportunity**:
The Future Students and Outreach portfolio (VPFS&O) at Southern Cross University incorporates domestic and global recruitment, digital transformation initiatives, customer experience, brand reputation and marketing communications, media relations, alumni, philanthropy, and developing strategic partnerships to strengthen the University’s presence.
Southern Cross University is seeking a Partnerships Officer to join our Marketing, Digital, and Communications area. In this cross-functional team, your core responsibilities will include:
- Implement marketing, events, and stakeholder management initiatives to enhance the University’s reputation, public position, and partnerships with future students, alumni, and sponsors
- Organise and coordinate University presence at key events, ensuring the involvement of institutional leaders and effective outreach initiatives that align with strategic goals
- Collect, input, and report data related to lead generation at marketing or sponsor events, ensuring compatibility with the University’s CRM for efficient tracking and follow-up
- Manage event logistics, including catering, transport, staff travel, accommodation, and facility bookings, while ensuring smooth execution of marketing, acquisition, and outreach events
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, tracking event progress, managing timelines and budgets, and conducting post-event reviews to optimise future success
**About you**:
As a Partnerships Officer, you will play a key role in engaging prospective students, sponsors, and alumni by delivering impactful brand, marketing, and engagement initiatives. Working closely with the wider engagement team, you’ll coordinate event activations, outreach, and sponsorships to maximise return on investment. More specifically, you will have:
- A relevant qualification in marketing, engagement, or event management, couples with experience in a similar role or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven experience in developing contemporary marketing and promotional materials across various platforms, specifically for sponsorship events or activations
- Demonstrated ability to engage and manage sponsorship or partnership relations at a corporate level, driving successful collaborations
- Strong experience in leading and executing outreach events, particularly at external locations, ensuring seamless planning and delivery
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. Proficient in CRM systems, MS Office, basic design software, and photographic/audio-visual technology
**Salary and benefits**:

- Full-time, fixed term (12 Months)
- Located at either Coffs Harbour, NSW 2450, Gold Coast, QLD 4225, or Lismore, NSW 2480.
- HEW 5. The base salary ranges from $80,737 - $89,717 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $104,968.
