Why this role matters

The Salvation Army Australia’s Homelessness Stream provides high quality, person-centred services to people at risk, and or experiencing homelessness. We support all cohorts in case management, outreach support, financial assistance, connection and referral to other specialist services.

We are seeking a values-driven Administration Officer reporting to the Business Unit Administrator. You will provide high-quality administrative support to management and team members at The Beacon and promote and provide a safe, caring and supportive environment.

This is a full time position based at The Beacon, Northbridge WA.

The role you could play
- Handle customer queries and statistical data entry and SAMIS inputting
- Order and stock control of stationery, housekeeping and catering
- Receiving incoming phone calls and transferring to the relevant dept
- Collect, record and distribution incoming and outgoing mail
- Collect, collation, processing and management of all Payroll information for Homelessness Services
- Process accounts payable and receivable
- Organise and arrange routine checks such as electrical, air conditioning, pest control, fire services and photocopier

What you will bring
- Tertiary qualification in Business Administration (or equivalent) or significant demonstrated equivalent relevant experience, knowledge and skills
- Experience in social services environment is highly regarded
- A current Drivers licence
- A willingness to undergo a National Police check
