Position: General Manager
Wage: $70 per hour + commission
Location: In-house at our Mullumbimby office

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Strategy**:
- Develop and refine the company's business strategy alongside the director.
- Ensure the business is at the leading edge of the market through thorough understanding of competitor behaviour and trends.
- Identify market opportunities and niches for expansion.
- Identify business weaknesses and work with the director to implement solutions.
- Set goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
**Operations**:
- Manage the daily operations of the business, ensuring optimal function.
- Oversee the development, production and launch of online courses, ensuring quality and relevance.
- Oversee the production and distribution of The Pete Isaia Podcast, in line with the Business and Marketing Strategy.
- Coordinate with the director and relevant team members to ensure timely delivery of materials.
**Financial Management**:
- Manage the company's budget, allocating resources effectively.
- Monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead monthly financial performance meetings.
**Team Leadership and Management**:
- Provide leadership and direction to the team, inspiring a positive and highly-productive work environment.
- Set clear expectations and goals for employees, and provide regular feedback and coaching.
- Utilise and manage task management software to keep the team accountable and on track with the business goals and strategy.
- Handle hiring, training, and performance evaluations alongside the director.
**Marketing and Sales**:
- Work with the Marketing Manager to develop marketing strategies to increase sales and brand awareness.
- Identify opportunities for product improvement and strategy development to optimise profitability and product function.
- Provide coaching to the director on social media content creation and social media presence.
**Customer Relations**:
- Manage and monitor CRM software and processes
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by developing a robust user experience process and ensure inquiries, concerns, and feedback are addressed promptly.
- Monitor customer reviews and feedback to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop strategies to retain existing customers and attract new ones.
**Technology and Infrastructure**:
- Evaluate and implement technology solutions to support business operations and improve efficiency.
- Ensure the security and integrity of customer data and company assets.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to online education platforms.
**Continuous Improvement**:
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Regularly review and refine processes to optimise efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead a culture of continuous learning and professional development among team members.
**Reporting and Analytics**:
- Generate regular reports on key business metrics and performance indicators and lead meetings to ensure team accountability.
- Analyse data to identify trends, insights, business strengths and weaknesses.
- Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and strategy.
**Applicant requirements**:
- 5+ proven years in a similar role.
- Innate leadership skills.
- Demonstrated experience of increasing the sales and profitability of a business in a previous role.
- Ability to develop and execute long-term strategies for business growth and manage a small team to optimise ROI.
- Analytical skills to assess market trends, identify opportunities, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent, direct communication skills.
- Robust understanding of business principles including finance, marketing, operations, media production and customer relations.
- Proven experience in budgeting, financial analysis and resource allocation to optimize business performance.
