**The Role**
The Collins Submarine Program within Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group is responsible for the maintenance and programmed upgrade of Australia’s Collins Class submarines. The Program works in partnership with the Royal Australian Navy and Industry to deliver the strategic submarine capability of Collins.
Whether you are looking to start your journey in Quality or you are a seasoned QA Officer, we are looking for capable, flexible and bold problem solvers to jump into a range of challenging and rewarding roles.
As a member of the Quality team, you will:
- Perform governance and assurance work in support of the certified ISO 9001:2016 Quality Management System.
- Have an understanding of the AS/NZS ISO 9001:2016 Quality Management System requirements and develop and maintain knowledge of relevant process, products and equipment which will be applied in a proactive audit and assurance program.
- Identify and define issues, and report on non-conformances to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of internal processes.
- Formalise your findings through excellent report writing and documentation.
This position is required to:
- Perform and monitor governance, assurance, auditing and corporate reporting activities;
- Provide advice on quality assurance processes and business improvement activities;
- Research and develop documents to facilitate quality assurance improvement activities;
- Work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders;
- Build and sustain effective relationships with team members and provide constructive feedback to others;
- Take the initiative to suggest improvements to quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure appropriate performance against best practice;
- Recommend solutions to issues impacting on the achievement of desired outcomes.
**About our Team**
The Quality team are responsible for the management of the Quality Management System and providing Quality assurance activities across the Collins Submarine Program, working closely in partnership with Defence Industry partners.
