**The Role**
As a member of the Quality team, you will perform governance and assurance work in support of the certified ISO 9001:2016 Quality Management System and Authorised Materiel Seaworthiness Delivery Organisation (AMSDO) certification.
You will have an understanding of the AS/NZS ISO 9001:2016 Quality Management System requirements and develop and maintain knowledge of relevant process, product and contract compliance which will be applied in a proactive audit and assurance program.
You will also identify and define issues and report on non-conformances to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of internal processes.
You will have strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to formalise your findings through excellent report writing.
This position is required to:
- Assess technical packages, reports, processes, product and equipment performance to meet specified requirements and identify and report non-conformances;
- Lead a small team and be accountable to set work priorities and manage workflows;
- Coordinate and perform quality assurance, governance, auditing and corporate reporting activities;
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communication style and language according to the audience’s level of knowledge, skills and experience;
- Have strong stakeholder engagement skills to build and sustain effective relationships with team members, management and stakeholders;
- Provide guidance on the management of quality assurance processes and business planning including the review and improvement of business activities;
- Develop, implement and review quality assurance and government procedures, practices and frameworks;
- Analyse and suggest improvements to quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure appropriate performance against best practice;
- Contribute to the strategic review of quality assurance systems in the areas of business planning, performance measurement and continuous improvement.
**About our Team**
The Collins Submarine Program within the National Shipbuilding Sustainment Group (NSSG) is responsible for the maintenance and programmed upgrade of Australia’s Collins Class submarines. The Program works in partnership with the Royal Australian Navy and Industry to deliver the strategic submarine capability to the nation.
