Service Advisor

My client is a respected leader in diesel fuel injection services, repairs, and parts solutions, known for their impressive history of technological innovation in diesel engine sub-systems. They maintain strong partnerships with major manufacturers across Australia.

As a Service Advisor at their Sunshine West branch, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations in our Workshop and Pump Room, ensuring operational efficiency is maximized. Your primary goal will be to deliver exceptional customer service through clear and timely verbal and written communication, with the ultimate aim of achieving high customer satisfaction. You will also collaborate with other service departments within the group of Companies when required.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supervise day-to-day front-line operations.
- Manage all customer and internal jobs in Diesel Fuel Injection, Workshop, and Large Frame areas.
- Monitor overall sales targets and actively promote sales growth.
- Prepare and cross-check estimates.
- Liaise with FCT and management, as well as other internal staff to optimize workflow efficiency.
- Monitor job progress and completion times to meet labor recovery targets.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Handle warranty issues to achieve positive outcomes for all parties.
- Generate reports and engage in discussions on business matters with upper management.
- Assist with sales inquiries, spare parts orders, and processing customer orders.
- Respond to phone calls and inquiries related to technical, sales, and customer needs.
- Assist customers with bookings and service inquiries.
- Allocate jobs to Mechanics/Technicians as needed.
- Coordinate with mechanics, management, and internal staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through clear and timely communication.
- Monitor job progress and keep customers informed of status.
- Arrange road tests for vehicles and assist with road testing when required.
- Promote upselling of products, both services and parts.
- Oversee the issuance of reports when required, including labor, sales, and core returns.
- Supervise the picking and allocation of parts for jobs.
- Oversee the processing of part returns and credits.
- Ensure that purchase orders are issued before parts are ordered.
- Verify that stock received matches purchase orders.
- Follow Cornell Management System (CMS) procedures and documentation.
- Comply with ISO rules and procedures.

**Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Responsibilities**:

- Achieve labor recovery while maintaining GP%.
- Contribute to service sales and growth.
- Contribute to parts sales and growth while maintaining GP%.
- Minimize rework and warranty issues to enhance customer satisfaction.

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
