Mackellar are an industry leader in the mining and civil earthmoving industries with over 50 years’ experience and operate a large fleet of heavy earthmoving equipment across Australia. We take pride in our people, our safety culture and maintaining our equipment to a high standard.

With Production Supervisors as direct reports, the Mining Superintendent will oversee the day to day production operations of project located near Middlemount. This is a small project and will require someone who can not only manage, but also be hands on when needed to ensure production targets are met or exceeded.

The main focus of this role will be on continuous improvement whilst overseeing all aspects of mine production. Bringing with you experience in working for a principal contractor, you will understand how to negotiate and influence the client to maximise the outcomes for Mackellar.

This role will be an 8/6 roster and will be a DIDO role.

Applicants must have:

- Extensive experience in a similar position specifically in coal mining operations, with a proven track record in delivering high standards and results across mining projects
- Demonstrated experience in the effective workforce leadership and management, particularly within contract mining operations
- Current Mining Supervisor - G1, G8, G9 & G2
- Queensland driver licence
- Senior First Aid certificate (HTLAID003) would be beneficial
