Your new company

Mackellar is the mining services contractor for Bravus’ Carmichael Mine and together we are creating jobs and opportunities for regional Queensland. Production is now in full swing at the mine site located in the Galilee Basin and we’re excited to be growing our team.

Your new role

In this hands-on mine site Superintendent role, working a 5/2/4/3 roster, you will be responsible for managing the logistics and storage of all supplies to the mine site, including parts for the maintenance department. You will bring with you the ability to review current processes, and develop and implement new processes to suit the growing need.

Key responsibilities include:

- Provide leadership, direction and supervision for warehouse team, and effective management of the department
- Control all internal warehouse activities to ensure efficient utilisation of labour and facilities for receiving, storing and distributing of goods
- Ensure appropriate processes and procedures are implemented and adhered to
- Work closely with the Maintenance Superintendents to ensure consistency of service through effective management of parts
- Conduct regular stock takes to ensure accuracy and availability of stock
- Promote a strong safety culture, leading by example and rewarding success
- Develop & recommend improvements in warehouse practices to promote safety, efficiency, faster service & customer satisfaction

What you'll need to succeed
- Proven skills and experience in a similar role at a this level
- Ability to effectively lead a team through constant change and challenges
- Experience in the mining industry is highly regarded
- Live in the Rockhampton or Townsville areas due to roster and fatigue management
