**About the team**
We are seeking to recruit self-motivated and experienced debt collectors or investigators with strong problem-solving skills who enjoys getting results. You will excel at communicating and negotiating with customers (and their representatives) and have an excellent eye for detail. The role is within our Legal Team, which is part of Tax Debt, Taxes and Grants within Revenue NSW.
**Your day-to-day**
- Evaluating cases, selecting most appropriate recovery method. Drafting legal correspondence and issuing appropriately to resolve overdue debts.
- Negotiating and making decisions within delegations and keeping accurate records of decisions made,
- Discuss and educate customers and their representatives of their legislative requirements,
- Other administrative tasks such as invoicing, record maintenance, searching and settlement attendance.
**To be successful in this role you will demonstrate**:
- Ability to effectively complete cases within agreed timeframes
- Experience in responding to complex enquiries from internal and external customers including legal professionals according to service standards,
- The ability to negotiate debt settlements by utilising strong verbal and written communication skills and conflict resolution skills to liaise with customers and their representatives,
- Attendance at Court on behalf of Revenue NSW to provide assistance/instructions to external solicitors acting on behalf of the Revenue NSW may be required
- Experience with complex case management involving multiple accounts, representatives with extensive histories
- Experience with and knowledge of tax debt recovery processes and/or in the administration of multiple taxes and levies is highly desirable.

Salary Grade 5/6, with the base salary for this role starting at $93295 base plus superannuation
