**Who we are**
**Financial Operations Branch** provides shared services for the department, including corporate services such as travel, credit cards, procurement, grants policy, advice and reporting, payroll services, procurement, accounts receivable, debt management and accounts payable. The branch also provides a project management and oversight role for some of the critical projects for the division.

**The Finance Business Improvement Section** manages and supports the division with the governance and delivery of finance improvement projects. The section provides project management, change management, communications and training support specialist and advisory services. We work as a part of a small team that engages closely with our stakeholders to establish and deliver finance improvement initiatives.

**The Job**
**Duties include**:

- Performing high-level analysis and evaluation of finance business processes and Financial Management Information System (FMIS) requirements.
- Conducting testing activities such as test planning, test management and support the overall user acceptance testing process.
- Support change, communications and training development and practical assistance for FMIS projects and business improvement initiatives.
- Engaging and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous business improvements.
- Providing advice to project teams and sponsors on emerging risks and treatments to minimise impact of project deliverables on end users.
- Developing productive relationships with project members and stakeholders using influencing skills to ensure they meet project deliverables whilst managing their expectations.
- Coordinate production, approval, and distribution of clear, concise, and consistent project documentation for multiple audiences.
- Represent the team at internal and external meetings, as required.
- Initiate, build and maintain productive internal and external working relationships.

**What are we looking for**

- Sound knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
- Experience with delivering and supporting FMIS projects business requirements, testing and change management, communications and training documentation.
- An ability to deliver on intended results while adapting to strategic and operational changes, and effectively prioritising tasks to deliver outcomes in a timely manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve results.
- Has demonstrated an ability in building and maintaining relationships (within and outside the organisation) to drive mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Displays clear and confident written and verbal communication and the ability to negotiate with a range of stakeholders.
