**About us**
**The opportunity**
We are currently looking for a **Project Finance Specialist** as well as a **Trainee Project Finance Specialist **to become integral members of the Finance team.
The location is hybrid between our **Canberra **office and **work from home** (if desired). You will support project teams locally and nationally.
This is a pivotal role in which you will build relationships with Project Managers, Commercial Managers and Corporate Finance whilst being part of a large group of like-minded professionals across Australia.
You will:
- Make project accounting recommendations throughout the Project Lifecycle
- Monitor project budgets and investigate any variances
- Interpret financial information to support project management and commercial decisions
- Champion data integrity and ensure accurate financial information is recorded in the ERP
- Assist with subcontractor engagements
- Prepare and submit invoices to clients
- Manage multiple projects of varying values at any given time
- Attend project-related meetings to inform the team regarding the status of project financials, articulating problem projects and following up on any identified actions as discussed

Some of your experience will include:
- At least 2-5 years of project finance administration experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Advanced MS Excel knowledge
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Joint Venture and Alliance experience will be highly regarded
For the **Trainee opportunity** - we’re looking to upskill someone a little more junior or new to Project Accounting. As such, we'd love to hear from you if you are a:
- Recent finance graduate
- Commercially savvy accountant who want to partner with and influence the business to create value
- Contract administrator with engineering/construction experience keen to transition to finance
