**The role**
Join the Supply Relationship Leadership team as a Commercial Manager where you will be working amongst a team of claims professionals responsible for ensuring Auto and General has the best-in-class motor supply network. Your core focus will be utilising supplier performance data and surfacing insights to help the teams in the field improve network capacity and customer outcomes. You will be working on dynamic and varied datasets with and making best use of your problem solving, root cause analysis and data analyst skills to influence meaningful change.
You will:
- Identify and realise market and internal opportunities to create competitive advantages
- Convert data insights drawn from a variety of data sources and communicate readily consumable reports and recommendations for senior stake holders across the organisation.
- Influence process enhancements and operational control systems to ensure high quality outcomes are always achieved.
- Utilise your knowledge of operational management to design process enhancements and drive positive change.
- Deliver & refine re-engineering programs that develop a true, cost effective Repair Service Platform and fully utilise the investment in technologies
- In consultation with the relevant internal stakeholders, develop and implement appropriate supplier management and assessing strategies that meet the company’s overall objectives
- Develop and implement - policy with regards to supplier management; advanced commercial techniques; strategic sourcing or supply process improvements; & systems and tools to monitor and manage contract deliverables, service levels and commercial outcomes
- Oversee the network’s performance, ensuring alignment between cost control methodologies and customer service/brand reputation outcomes
- Support drafting of high-quality contract documents and carry out contract variations, including updating or expanding scopes of services
- Provide contract management support to project teams throughout the contract life cycle and provide guidance to others in your team, while engaging in high level strategic planning for the business, providing training as required
**What experience you’ll bring**
- Claims and/or significant Insurance Industry experience preferred
- Significant experience utilising large datasets to surface insights and make recommendations
- Demonstrated advanced experience utilising software packages including PowerBI, Excel, Audanet, etc to harness the power of data for decision making
- Demonstrated best practice strategic procurement, including centralisation of commercial strategies and achievement of significant cost savings
- Significant knowledge of the delivery of services and products through traditional Customer Service channels as well as Digital and Omni Channel strategies
- A track record of exploiting technology to solve customer and operational challenges in large enterprise environments would be an advantage
- Demonstrated success at implementing and delivering on operational efficiency & business process enhancement initiatives
- Demonstrated negotiation skills, superior communication skills with a strong knowledge of legislative frameworks preferred
