The Opportunity
The Manors of Mosman retirement village is a welcoming community set amongst lush and manicured gardens and grounds, conveniently located in the prestigious harbourside suburb of Mosman. Home to 150+ independent living luxury homes, you will work collaboratively with residents to coordinate exciting events, activities and services for the residents within the community. In this fantastic community, you will motivate, engage and enable residents to participate in a wide range of experiences including physical, social and community-orientated activities every day, week and month This is a perfect opportunity for someone who has a background in working with seniors, or someone who is passionate about promoting independence and having some fun
This is a permanent full-time position working Monday-Friday.
**What we offer**:
- $35.39/hr ($69,930p.a) + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances + superannuation

You will
- Coordinate and deliver fun, inclusive and exciting activities to our residents on a regular weekly and monthly schedule (think - themed restaurant nights, weekly trivia, event outings, cooking demonstrations, Xmas in July and more)
- Deliver a holistic activities program that promotes independence, learning new hobbies and enabling social connections with other residents (e.g art classes, walking groups and aqua classes)
- Collaborate with key stakeholders such as residents and Aveo staff to deliver programs that builds participation
- Create schedules for all new events and distribute monthly newsletters highlighting upcoming events
- Be the welcoming face to all new residents in the community by ensuring they are engaged and supported in their transition to our community.
- Complete general ad-hoc duties including (but not limited to): conducting feedback surveys, attending staff meetings and general administrative tasks
What you will bring
- A genuine interest in improving the lives of seniors
- Previous experience in coordinating programs, events or activities with a resident-centred approach (highly desired)
- Be creative - we want someone to create FUN events
- Proficient in computer programs such as Microsoft Office and Canva (desired)
- Two COVID-19 Vaccinations (required)
- Current Police Check clearance (required, but we can complete for you)
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (required or willing to obtain prior to commencement)
