**Role Title**:Stakeholder Engagement Manager
**Start Date**: ASAP
**End Date**:18 Months from start date
**Pay Rate**:$750- $850 per day excluding Super
**Hours**: 8-hour days, 40 hours per week.
**Located**:Newcastle

**Your new company**
Hays is currently partnered with a government agency, seeking an experienced Stakeholder Engagement Manager to join the team.

**Your new role**
- Manage and implement the endorsed Community and Stakeholder Engagement Plan for each of the identified projects where appropriate, arrange for these Plan(s) to be updated when requested by the Project Director.
- Support the Regional Project Delivery and Communication teams to manage communications activities to time, cost and budget.
- Implement actions in communication plans for high-profile, complex, contentious, or publicly sensitive projects often under the guidance of other team members.
- Contribute to, coordinate, deliver and evaluate the effectiveness of events, workshops, and community consultation activities to maximise community engagement and feedback, including customer information, community consultation, internal communication, issues management and liaison with the Media team.
- Contribute to the implementation of a program of building community awareness and capacity initiatives by facilitating meetings and forums and identifying ways to assist community participation in projects.
- Build and maintain collaborative and consultative working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, including community groups and associations to promote open communication and facilitate delivery of best practice communication and community engagement and consultation initiatives.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in communications, community engagement, consultation, public relations, government relations or media, particularly within a government or services environment.
