**About Them**
This organisation is a leading global energy company committed to sustainable and reliable energy solutions. We are seeking an experienced Crisis, emergency & security Management Consultant to join our team. This is a 3-month Fixed Term Contract, with potential for extension or a permanent position.

**The role**
The Crisis Management Consultant will establish, implement, and maintain effective crisis, emergency response, security, and business continuity management systems. You will prevent harm, minimize risks, ensure compliance, and optimize business resilience. Collaborating with stakeholders, you will develop strategies, drive continuous improvement, and align with company values and the Santos Management System.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide HSS leadership and support across the organization.
- Establish and maintain crisis, emergency response, security, and business continuity management systems.
- Lead rapid, coordinated responses to emergencies, crises, and disruptions.
- Develop and maintain standards, controls, and procedures for risk mitigation and compliance.
- Implement training and competency frameworks for emergency management, crisis management, and security.
- Collaborate with Risk and Audit to address strategic risks and incorporate them into preparedness plans.
- Establish assurance frameworks and conduct regular exercises to test effectiveness.
- Oversee HSS activities in divisional and major projects.

**About You**
- Possess strong knowledge and experience in emergency, crisis and security management within an operationally led business.
- Tertiary qualification in Emergency Management or relevant field.
- Significant experience in complex organizations and high-risk industries.
- Knowledge of international and Australian security, incident, and emergency legislative arrangements.
- Have the ability to build relationships across all stakeholder groups - internal and external
- Bring a lens of what ‘good’ looks like and how this can be brought to life operationally within the business
