**About the Role**

Reporting to the Branch Service Manager, the Field Service Manager is responsible for managing and leading the operational activities of the Field Service Team within their designated geographical area. As a Field Service Manager, you will ensure that your team is meeting relevant KPIs, working to TMHA standards and addressing customer needs in a safe, efficient and effective manner throughout the field.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Responsible for the management, direction and leadership of the Field Service Technicians and Field Service Controller within your team.
- Manage and ensure the booking, scheduling, allocating services and maintenance in the field is done in a professional manner and in accordance with the requirements of the relevant Australian Standards and company policies.
- Manage Field Service Technicians labour utilisation and ensure completed jobs are closed in a timely manner.
- In conjunction with the Team Leader, provide support and guidance for complex job orders.
- Plan, coordinate and manage training for your Field Service Team.
- Development and monitoring of individual performance targets; conduct performance appraisals as required.
- Monitor and control costs for rental fleet within the allocated budgets.
- Manage and approve timesheets within the time and attendance system for your team.

**Skills and experience**:

- Trade Qualification - Heavy Plant, Motor Mechanic, Auto electrics or similar/relevant.
- Extensive experience as a Technician in the Material Handling Industry or similar/relevant industry.
- Comprehensive product knowledge with the ability to provide and understand technical explanations.
- Strong leadership and management skills - experience leading a team, mentoring and guiding teams to achieve outcomes, experience in dispute resolution and performance issues.
- Advanced communication skills (written and oral) and an ability to negotiate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
