**Role Description/Criteria**

Holy Name is a child-safe school and is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care. We are looking for a passionate, highly motivated and collaborative educator who wishes to work in a supportive, community minded school, and share a commitment to developing the full potential of the students in their care.

This position would suit someone who is eager to further develop their leadership capabilities within a child-safe and evidence based learning school.

The successful applicant would be required to:

- Develop teacher knowledge through professional learning,
- Develop teacher capacity to work with the Victorian Curriculum and integrate curriculum areas utilising the inquiry cycle for learning,
- Oversee the incorporation of STEM and ICT into the daily learning program,
- Work closely with the Literacy and Numeracy leaders to analyse student data, and improve practices within an evidence based learning approach,
- Work closely with the Leadership team to further develop the goals in the School Improvement Plan and Annual Action Plan.

Applicants will need to demonstrate their understanding and commitment to:

- Student centred learning and teaching within an evidence based learning school,
- Planning in a collaborative environment facilitated by curriculum leaders,
- Data driven teaching and learning, focused on continuous improvement and growth,
- Using digital technologies and STEM to enhance student learning,
- Using data to facilitate a differentiated approach to the curriculum to support student needs,
- A culture of feedback and continuous improvement to further their own development.

**Other Requirements**

Applicants are required to:

- Have a registration with the Victorian Institute of teaching,
- Be accredited to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School or be prepared to gain accreditation should the position become permanent,
- Adhere to the Holy Name Code of conduct and Child Safety Policy.
