**About Us**:
The Strategic Communication & Engagement (SCE) branch is responsible for the department's corporate communications, sponsorship and events as well as media and social media. Services provided by SCE ensure that the department has a strategic corporate communications framework and consistent approach to engaging with schools, members of the community, the media, business, and other government agencies.

**About the Role**:
Responsibilities within this role will include, but are not limited to:

- Lead and manage a team of communication and marketing practitioners to deliver communications and marketing services to a broad range of corporate areas across the department
- Provide efficient and effective, client-focused service delivery built on ongoing innovation and professional growth
- Provide high level strategic management of major communications and marketing initiatives and strategies with a creative and innovative approach to engaging internal and external audiences and stakeholders
- Manage communication and engagement activities to support departmental responses to emergencies and disasters
- Coordinate with the Minister's Office on key communications and marketing activities.

**About You**:
As Manager Communications and Marketing, you will be responsible for the department's corporate communications and marketing activities with a focus on:

- Internal communication with school, regional and corporate staff including teachers and principals
- External communication with parents, students and the broader community.

You will work collaboratively with the Director to implement the essential services of the branch and forge strong affiliations with other units of the department to ensure innovative, agile and high-quality service delivery.
This role reports to the Director, Partnerships and Marketing, Strategic Communication and Engagement.
