**About the role**

As a **Risk Specialist - Investment Operations and Performance**, you will play a key role in supporting the Investment Operations and Performance team (IO&P) by providing first line risk support. You’ll help embed a strong risk culture and ensure effective risk management practices are consistently applied in line with the ART Group Risk Management Framework (RMF).

Day to day, you'll:

- Maintain and manage the IO&P risk profile and risk register.
- Monitor risk exposures and lead mitigation planning when needed.
- Embed risk practices across investment operations and performance processes.
- Conduct risk assessments across operations, third-party providers, and Investment performance activities.
- Support compliance, control reviews, and risk mitigation for IO&P control owners.
- Provide clear risk reporting and insights to senior leaders and governance bodies.
- Participate in governance forums related to operational risk, investment risk, and performance risk.
- Manage incidents and issues, driving timely resolution and process improvement.
- Oversee remediation actions to address control gaps and strengthen risk controls.
- Coordinate audit and assurance activities across internal and external reviews.
- Promote a strong risk culture through training and capability uplift across IO&P.

**About you**

- Proven experience in a Line one risk management role, ideally within investment operations or financial services.
- Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, methodologies, and controls, particularly in investment operations or financial services.
- Knowledge of enterprise risk, operational risk, and compliance requirements, including regulatory and governance expectations (e.g., APRA standards).
- Experience embedding risk practices into business activities and operational processes.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement risk controls, assessments, and mitigation strategies.
- Experience in risk reporting, governance forums, and risk monitoring.
