**About the role**:
A rare opportunity for a passionate and dedicated **Domestic & Family Violence Specialist Worker** to join our growing Women’s Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service (WDVCAS) team in Artarmon.

This is a permanent, full-time role (35 hours/week) that offers the opportunity to work across multiple sites, providing life-changing support to clients in need and make a lasting impact.

As a Specialist Worker, you’ll be the first point of contact for women referred to WDVCAS, offering timely, trauma-informed support and advocacy. You’ll assess risk, develop safety plans, and work closely with key partners to ensure clients receive the protection and assistance they need.

Being a woman is a genuine occupational qualification for this position under s14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide immediate, compassionate support and safety planning for clients.
- Collaborate with the Safety Action Meeting (SAM) Coordinator to address serious threats.
- Manage referrals from government and non-government agencies.
- Support court advocacy and attend court days as needed.
- Build strong relationships with NSW Police, Local Courts, legal representatives, and referral agencies.

**What You’ll Bring**:

- Strong understanding of domestic & family violence and its impacts.
- Knowledge of the criminal justice system and related referral services.
- Great communication and engagement skills.
- Ability to promote awareness and build community connections.
- Excellent organisational and report writing skills.
- A current NSW Driver’s License and access to a vehicle.
