Ecommerce and Marketplace Specialist

We are a team of enthusiasm dedicated to designing and marketing, distributing apparel and accessories which successfully selling domestically and internationally to major department, marketplace, and online stores. Our business has seen a rapid growth in the last a few years, and we are looking for a passionate eCommerce & Marketplace Specialist to join our outstanding fast-growing team.
As an eCommerce and Marketplace Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our online presence and driving sales across various digital platforms. Your expertise will be instrumental in managing our eCommerce website and expanding our reach on third-party marketplaces, ensuring a seamless shopping experience, and optimising conversions.
**Responsibilities**:
1. eCommerce Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of our eCommerce website, ensuring product listings, images, and descriptions are accurate, engaging, and up-to-date.
- Collaborate with the creative team to enhance the visual appeal of the website and create a user-friendly interface.
- Monitor website performance, identifying and resolving any technical issues to ensure smooth navigation and checkout processes.
2. Marketplace Expansion:
- Lead the onboarding process and manage the presence on third-party marketplaces.
- Manage and train offshore e-commerce team members.
- Develop and maintain product listings on marketplaces, optimizing titles, descriptions, keywords, and images to enhance visibility and searchability.
- Monitor marketplace trends and competitor activities to strategize and stay ahead.
3. Sales and Conversion Optimization:
- Analyse customer behaviour, purchase patterns, and site traffic to identify opportunities for improving conversion rates.
- Implement strategies to maximize upselling and cross-selling, enhancing the average order value.
- Continuously A/B test and optimize landing pages, product pages, and checkout processes.
4. Inventory and Order Management:
- Coordinate closely with the inventory team to ensure accurate stock levels and timely order fulfilment.
- Monitor and manage inventory on marketplaces, updating stock quantities to prevent overselling or stockouts.
5. Customer Experience:
- Provide exceptional customer service, promptly addressing inquiries, concerns, and issues related to online shopping.
- Collaborate with the customer support team to ensure consistent and positive customer experiences.
6. Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Regularly analyse sales data, website traffic, and marketplace performance to derive actionable insights.
- Generate reports on key metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
**TO BE SUCESSFUL**:
- Degree qualified in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in eCommerce management and marketplace expansion.
- Familiarity with eCommerce platforms such like Shopify, CMS, and marketplace interfaces.
- Have great organisational and time management skills, to deliver to deadlines and manage multiple projects.
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Above average IT / computer, excel skills are a must.
- Passionate about ecommerce and the digital space.
- Ability to prioritise tasks in a deadline-driven environment, to think on your feet, adapt quickly and hit the ground running.
- Understanding of best practice ecommerce and marketing principles.
- Fashion industry experience could be an advantage.
