Our client is currently looking for 2 x **APS5 Privacy Officers** for one of our federal government departments.

**About the Team/Role**
The Legal Services team provides legal advice, support and services to the Agency by understanding the Scheme, key legislation and policy to support and enable positive outcomes for participants of the Scheme.

Legal Services provide practical and solution focused advice across a broad spectrum of corporate, commercial, administrative, and government legal issues to support business areas. The team provide a single point of contact to the Agency for legal matters and plays a key enabling function including the identification and mitigation of legal risk for the Agency.

The APS5 Privacy Officer is a team membership position and where required, will perform work that involves team leadership responsibilities requiring the setting of priorities and allocating work to other lower-level team members within a team.

The position will be required to undertake specialist activities and tasks using available information where options are not always evident. It will be required to perform procedural, clerical, administrative and operational tasks that supports and contributes to the agency's objectives.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assisting with the coordination of Agency responses in relation to Privacy related complaints and incidents.
- Assisting in preparing and contributing to a range of briefing materials for Ministers, Board papers, media releases, reports to Parliamentary committees, and correspondence.
- Assisting in the administrative management of new systems, processes and practical tools including training to support Privacy handling and awareness.
- Assisting in the preparation of communication material to enhance Agency awareness of Privacy.
- Assisting in the preparation of Privacy reporting for management and executive, and feedback relating to identified trends.

**Skills and Experience**
- Strong clerical, administrative and operational tasks, preparing and contributing to a range of briefing materials for Ministers, Board papers
