**About the role**
- This newly created role provides an exciting opportunity for a motivated health and safety professional to make their mark in the health care sector. Reporting to the Director of Health, Safety and Wellbeing, the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager - Ballarat will lead the prevention team to implement a high quality, solution focussed advisory service across all Ballarat campuses.

As well as managing the day to day operations of the Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) team, the manager is responsible for maintaining, auditing and reporting on HSW systems and compliance activities in accordance with the relevant workplace Occupational Health & Safety legislation and standards for a healthcare setting.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide specialist advice and support on health and safety matters to leaders and staff
- ensure appropriate goveernance and consultative structures are in place and working effectively
- oversee the continued implementation of the health and safety management system
- manage the day to day functions of the Ballarat team

**Skills and experience**
- Tertiary qualifications in health and safety or a related disciple or significant excperience in a similar role
- Expert understanding of the Victorian OHS legislation and regulations and ability to manage compliance matters across the organisation
- Considerable experience in a people leadership position in the field of health, safety and wellbeing
