Health and Safety Specialist

The role of the Health and Safety Specialist is to ensure that all health and safety policies, procedures and processes are in place and effectively implemented across the organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting regular risk assessments, reviewing and updating as necessary, maintaining and monitoring KPIs for health, safety and environmental performance, ensuring compliance with statutory, mandatory and company training requirements, tracking and reporting accordingly.

Key Responsibilities:

- Serve as a single point of contact for all health and safety issues, providing competent advice in accordance with statutory requirements and company policies

- Document and track accidents and incidents, ensuring appropriate remedial actions and learning

- Conduct regular audits and reviews of existing policies and procedures to ensure they remain effective and up-to-date

- Collaborate with management teams to develop and implement new policies and procedures to meet business needs

- Manage external specialists and consultants to provide expert advice and guidance on health and safety matters

- Develop and maintain the HSE training matrix to ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles safely and effectively.
