An opportunity exists within Gumdale State School for an individual to join the senior leadership team as a Deputy Principal in a temporary full-time capacity for the remainder of Term 4, 2025 unless otherwise determined. About the Role:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

  • Provide strategic leadership by supporting the Principal in shaping and communicating a shared educational vision focused on quality learning outcomes and deputising as needed.
  • Demonstrate ethical leadership by upholding the deputy principalship as a values-based role, embedding socially just practices, and setting high standards for staff and student performance.
  • Foster professional growth through active participation in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
  • Build strong partnerships with parents, community groups, government agencies, industry, and business to support student learning and wellbeing.
  • Lead with accountability by understanding relevant legislation and policies, being future-focused, and managing resources effectively to achieve school goals.
