About the Role

**As Deputy Principal, you will**:

- Assist the Middle School Principal as a key member of the leadership team to develop, articulate and commit to implementing the college explicit improvement agenda, with a focus on building teacher capability and student engagement.
- Deputise for the Middle School Principal when required.
- Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Provide a holistic approach to student management and wellbeing that is both enabling and proactive.
- Investigate and manage behaviour incidents.
- Track, analyse and share student data that leads to improved attendance, effort and behaviour.
- Lead and line-manage Heads of Department.
- Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
- Be futures oriented and strategic.
- Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling.
- Manage resources to achieve goals.

The Deputy Principal (Middle School) is accountable to and under the direction of the Middle School Principal.
