The opportunity
Group Internal Audit is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Audit Manager to join our AUSPAC and Group Internal Audit team. This leadership opportunity will allow you to leverage your deep insurance expertise and insights across QBE’s product offerings that span commercial, personal and specialty and risk management solutions which help people and businesses manage risk, build strength and embrace change to their advantage.
Your new role
We have an exciting leadership opportunity in our well-regarded Group Internal Audit team, focusing on our Australian, New Zealand and Pacific Operations. We are looking for someone that is passionate about the insurance industry, making a positive impact and strives to provide commercially valuable assurance. You will report to the Senior Manager, and you’ll guide a small team of Senior Internal Auditors. As part of an inclusive and supportive team, you’ll also get to work closely with the Head of Internal Audit.
As a Manager in the Internal Audit team you will:
- Lead audit engagements, taking responsibility for designing, executing and overseeing risk-based audit work programs that address the key risks of the organisation- Prepare and review high quality audit scopes and audit reports- Timely preparation and review of audit files- Support and coach staff to assist them in achieving their development needs- Develop and maintain effective and meaningful relationships with senior stakeholders- Demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of audit methodology, professional standards and relevant regulatory requirements when conducting assurance reviews.

Your story so far- You have significant prior experience working within the Insurance sector, ideally within an internal audit function- You are passionate about identifying opportunities for improvement and making a difference- You are customer and solution centric- You have a strong understanding of risk and internal controls in relation to general insurance- You have excellent report writing and presentation skills- You are an advocate for supporting the personal and professional development of others
