The **Health and Safety Manager’s** primary objective is to support the implementation of work health and safety programs, injury management, and return-to-work processes at Opal’s Botany Paper Mill (B9) and Recycling facility. This is a **12-month fixed term contract**.
You will contribute to the success of Opal by:
- Implementation and monitoring of the Opal HSMS at sites.
- Implementation of the Opal H&S strategy at the specified sites.
- Governance and Assurance (Regulatory compliance and internal reporting).
- Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory and system requirements.
- Support Worker's compensation and Health and Wellbeing processes.
- Support Health & Safety Training needs of the allocated business unit.

- Tertiary qualification in OH&S preferred.
- Strong regulatory knowledge specific to manufacturing environments.
- In-depth knowledge of health & safety management systems.
- Proven record of success within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven, positive experience in dealing with and managing regulators.
- Experience in successfully driving a culture of continuous improvement.
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills.
