Our client is an international supplier of complex machinery, specialized tooling, and custom-made items to a variety of industries - including automotive, aerospace, rail, defense, energy & mining.
**The role**:
- Provide in-depth project scheduling and timeline preparation, develop and maintain scheduling system and schedule boards.
- Create a system that provides visibility of schedule and capacity to company.
- Ensure the accuracy and visibility of schedule and capacity to meet operational requirements.
- Review and schedule work packages.
- Set, review and report weekly milestones and provide feedback on their compatibility with global milestones.
- Ensure disciplined control of schedule system, activities and milestones.
- Maintain capacity levels and resource operating hours with information from supervisors.
- Work with supervisors, project managers, and both manufacturing sites to provide accurate and timely schedule updates and early identification of schedule issues and assist in resolution.
- Undertake role autonomously and assume responsibility for all schedule.
- Create report templates for progress, EVM and costing.
- Ensure that scheduling and milestone development is performed in close collaboration and coordination with all project teams.
- Escalate issues to the Operations Manager for work which does not appear to be valid, required or when timing cannot be met.
- Approach all aspects of the work being performed with safety as the highest priority.
**About you**:
- Manufacturing, engineering or scheduling background.
- Must have demonstrated the ability to visualize, communicate and complete tasks.
- Good written and verbal communications skills and have demonstrated the ability to be approachable and tactful.
- Excellent computer skills and PC skills - Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Strong commercial acumen & negotiation skills
