New Hope Support Services is looking for energetic and compassionate Support Workers to join the team. You will be a part of a dynamic team that will provide interest-based Day program for our clients with various disabilities.

The position description includes, but is not limited to:

- Work actively with people with intellectual or physical disability to support them in their daily activities.
- Implement programs to assist clients to develop skills and abilities so that they are able to have choice and control over their lives and make decisions.
- Assist client to develop independence for activities of daily life. (E.g showering. shaving, toileting, grooming)
- Assist clients in their chosen recreational activities.
- Assist clients to learn and safely implement domestic tasks such as allied tasks such as making bed, washing soiled linen and cloth, ironing, cooking and cleaning.
- Implement support plans of clients and document their progress in meeting their goals.
- Develop respectful and effective relationships with clients, families and community members involved with New Hope Support Services.

**Job Requirements**
- A qualification in disability / community services, minimum Certificate III
- Minimum of 6 months experience working within a disability
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current NSW Drivers Licence
- Current National police check certificate.
- Current NSW Working with Children Check certificate.
- Eligible to work in NSW.
- MUST have completed Covid 19 vaccine
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Enthusiastic, open-minded and dynamic
- Good organisational skills and time management skills

Remuneration will be discussed during the interview process.

We are open to work with you with your available days.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
