**About Us**:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and empathetic Disability Support Worker / Assistant Nurse to join our team and provide exceptional care to a baby with a disability. This role offers an opportunity to make a profound impact on the life of a young child and their family.

You will provide personalized, hands-on support to a baby with a disability. You will work closely with the family and the healthcare team to ensure the child’s well-being, safety, and comfort. You will assist with daily care, medical needs, therapy, and emotional support for the child.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide physical care and assistance with feeding, bathing, dressing, and hygiene tasks.
- Support medical care needs, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with mobility.
- Implement therapy routines as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Assist in monitoring and documenting the baby’s progress and any changes in their condition.
- Foster a nurturing and supportive environment for the baby to promote their physical and emotional development.
- Communicate regularly with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any incidents or observations.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in disability support, nursing, or a related field (preferred).
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Nursing, or similar (desirable).
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a genuine passion for helping others.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).
- Experience with pediatric care, especially with babies or children with disabilities, is an advantage.

Looking to fill 5 days a week

Monday: 8am to 4pm

Tuesday to Friday: 9am to 1pm

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual, Contract

Pay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week

Schedule:

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: In person
