**What this opportunity involves**:
As the VIC/TAS State Facilities Manager, you’ll be a pivotal part of the Operations Facilities Services team, leading the overall management and execution of the state facilities services across the Australia Post portfolio.
To be successful in this role, you will need to bring exceptional service provider engagement and client liaison as well as capabilities in overseeing budget control and contracting requirements. You will need to make considerations for sustainability, risk management and compliance delivery across the entire portfolio, therefore being intuitive and having an eye on the future will be essential.
The State Facilities Manager will lead a team of Facilities Managers, comprised of dedicated site facilities managers and network portfolio facilities managers. Ensuring team cohesiveness, continuous growth and development and succession with an aim to limit turnover and maximise engagement.
**An Overview of the role**:
Contribute to the development and fulfillment of the asset plan and portfolio’s strategic direction
Manage legislative and contractual obligations in accordance with JLL and Australia Post contract agreement
Enable delivery towards achieving Australia Post sustainability aspirations
Identification, planning, management and reporting of Capex and Opex budgets and delivery associated programs
Assist in wider evaluation of finance management, cost control and profitability
Manage strong client relationships and proactively engage clients ensuring expected service levels are achieved
Develop and implement strategies, policies and procedures for contract management, ensuring consistent delivery in accordance with service specification, policy and procedure
Oversee OH&S, environmental and risk management monitoring
Proactively manage Facility Managers, ensuring team development and client satisfaction by promoting an environment pertinent to teamwork, performance excellence and success
Provide regular reports and advice on property and facilities management issues as and when required to the client
**Sounds like you? This is what we are looking for**:
Tertiary qualifications in Facilities, Property, Engineering or related field
10+ years of proven experience working in corporate sustainability, government, or sustainability consulting within complex operating environments
Aptitude for the interpretation and analysis of numerical data in an energy, emissions or utilities context and understanding the relation to property and building management
Proficient user of Microsoft Office suite
Comfortable in proposing recommendations or decision making to resolve problems or make improvements
Promote open, constructive and collaborative relations with colleagues, clients and the wider JLL business community
Prioritisation of workload in a high pressure, deadline driven work environment
Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, dealing with a wide range of stakeholders
Effective listener who can also communicate through actions and example
Ability to train and provide knowledge and feedback to individuals and a wider team
