MinterEllison is currently offering an opportunity for a Lawyer or Associate to work as part of our Competition, Risk and Regulatory team in Brisbane.

**Your role**

Working with a national group of specialised Competition and Regulatory lawyers and partners you will assist clients in achieving their policy and business objectives. Your role will be varied and challenging, assisting clients in managing risks, providing complex advice, undertaking regulatory investigations, achieving competition clearance for mergers, authorisations and consumer protection matters. This is an ideal opportunity to be involved in a range of interesting and intellectually stimulating matters across the government, energy and resources, health, education and agribusiness industries.

As a lawyer in this team you will be working with corporate clients, international law firms and governments. These clients trust MinterEllison with their biggest and most complex matters. You will be part of a team, collaborating across practice areas and across offices, as well as working with individuals who are recognised as leaders in their fields.

**What you need**

You will be a motivated, focussed and experienced lawyer who is seeking a challenging and involved role within a great team. You will possess strong interest and experience in competition or regulatory law. You will have excellent attention to detail and be able to meet tight deadlines. To be successful in this role you must be a team player and value authentic relationships. You will have excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with a desire to learn quickly and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Minimum 2 years' post admission
- Australia, UK or NZ qualified
- Strong experience in advising clients on competition and/or regulatory matters
- Strong technical skills and the ability to deliver quality, commercial and pragmatic advice under pressure
- A strong client focus and demonstrated ability to form enduring relationships with peers, clients and industry experts
- Strong communication and relationship skills
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
- An interest in and willingness to contribute to business development initiatives including presentations, client training and publications
