We are seeking high-achieving lawyers for a short-term opportunity with a leading international firm in Sydney. Ideal candidates will have:
- a strong understanding of Australian competition and consumer law;
- experience assisting with merger clearances, joint ventures, and regulatory investigations.
SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS WILL HAVE:
- The right to work and reside in Australia;
- Be qualified to practice in Australia and have an unrestricted practicing certificate or the ability to obtain the same;
- A minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience within a law firm akin to A&O Shearman and/or ranked top tier in your area of expertise;
- A willingness to engage as a casual employee or via an Independent Legal Practice;
- Strong technical knowledge and recent Australian experience;
- A self-starter with a commitment to building a career as a consultant and a drive to achieve at a high level while working as a consultant;
- Adept at leading or working within complex multi-functional, multi-national project environments, or open to working in the same;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface at all levels, building strong relationships internally and externally;
- Client service-focused, with an exemplary client service ethic and commitment;
- Strong commercial/business acumen;
- Resilient, adaptable, autonomous, and highly credible;
- Advanced organisational skills and diplomacy.
