Executive General Manager Adelaide Plastic Surgery

Adelaide Plastic Surgery (APS) is one of Australia’s largest plastic surgery practices, comprising seven plastic surgeons and a breast and surgical oncologist. Located in the heart of Adelaide’s biomedical precinct on North Terrace, APS is an association of individual practitioners committed to providing outstanding clinical and customer service to its patients. Services, while principally surgical, also include injecting services and a comprehensive selection of laser related treatments.
Reporting to the Chair and Board, and working closely with the managing director and an established Management Team, this important position will have oversight of operational and clinical management to ensure the practice runs efficiently and smoothly. Other responsibilities include:
- effectively implementing the business strategy and ensuring sound governance;
- leading, mentoring, developing and motivating the dedicated staff;
- driving operational efficiency and excellence and ensuring financial sustainability;
- maintaining and enhancing productive relationships with a diverse range of public and private stakeholders;
- identifying and delivering on business growth opportunities.
This position will suit an appropriately qualified and highly accomplished executive who has a successful record of leadership in a comparable business ideally within the health care industry. Proven experience to grow such a business, create new revenue streams and deliver outstanding results will be important. In addition, an understanding of the dynamics of a privately owned professional services firm will be a distinct advantage. Among the higher level skills sought are innovative thinking, diplomacy, credibility, authenticity, proactivity, vision, strong influencing and advocacy capabilities, commercial and political acumen, and genuine leadership qualities.
An appropriate executive remuneration package with incentive components will be negotiated to secure a consummate professional capable of leading this respected and successful SA organisation making a genuinely life changing difference to its patients.
