**Job location**

Forensicare provides specialist forensic mental health services across 12 of Victoria's 14 prisons with expansion underway to include Western Plains in the Barwon region. This position based at Ravenhall Correctional Centre in Melbourne's west, provides 75 prison-based custodial mental health beds as well as assessments and outpatient services provided in maximum-security forensic mental health complex within the medium-security prison.

**About the Role**:
The Tambo Program comprises 10 beds and provides intensive clinical intervention, psychosocial support, and living skills training while facilitating community linkages and discharge preparations for people in custody with enduring mental health concerns nearing release. The Program Manager has responsibility and accountability for providing management and direction for the overall operation of the program, including staffing, resources, and delivery of services.

**Duties**:

- Oversee the delivery of effective and sustainable therapeutic programs and services, including oversight of the referral, admission, and discharge process
- Engage constructively and collaboratively with the interdisciplinary teams through team meetings, clinical reviews and other meetings
- Ensure practice complies with recognised legislation, Recovery frameworks, standards and code of ethics.
- Regularly attend senior staff and other relevant organisational meetings and forums.

**About You**:

- Demonstrated commitment to mental health consumer recovery, including the modelling and leading of Recovery focused initiatives
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the provision of rehabilitative care for clients in a forensic mental health setting, encompassing mental health care and living skills, along with a clear understanding of the pathway for reintegration into the community
- Demonstrated ability to build strong connections, cooperation and collaboration with stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead a motivated and collaborative team

**What you need**:
For Occupational Therapists:

- Approved degree in Occupational Therapy recognised for membership of Occupational Therapy Australia - Australian Association of Occupational Therapists.
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulations Agency (AHPRA).

For Social Workers:

- Approved degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
