**About ARWA**:
The Australian Radioactive Waste Agency (ARWA) is leading the responsible management and safe storage and disposal of Australia’s radioactive waste. A key element of ARWA’s program is the delivery of the National Radioactive Waste Management Facility which will provide a purpose-built, engineered solution to manage radioactive waste from sources such as nuclear medicine production.

- Demonstrated experience working in the field of international relations, either through previous employment, internships, or volunteer work. This experience should highlight a solid understanding of global affairs, international diplomacy, and cross-cultural communication.
- Demonstrated cultural awareness and sensitivity, including knowledge of international customs and protocols.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, including the ability to research and analyse complex information and develop recommendations based on that information.
- Experience in managing international projects or initiatives, including planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Highly effective interpersonal skills, with proven ability to relate effectively to a diverse range of stakeholders and clients, negotiate successful outcomes in an innovative and resourceful manner, whilst maintaining a high standard of professional competence and an ethical approach.

- A valid Australian driver's licence.

**Qualifications**:
- Tertiary qualification in international relations, political science, public policy, and/or law, business management or business administration or related field and/or equivalent skills, knowledge, and experience.
**Eligibility**:
To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, applicants must:
- Be an Australian citizen or going to be granted Australian Citizenship before commencement. You may be asked to provide evidence of this.
- Undertake a pre-employment security assessment and subsequent security clearance. All staff are required to have a minimum baseline security clearance
