Transport and Youth Support Worker
Support workers will meet the needs of the participants they are supporting to the best of their ability. CAPS will provide the training and planning needed for workers to complete their supports as well as providing management personnel who are available to assist with any issues that may arise. Support workers will work with children and young people with disabilities and/or in Out-of-Home-Care. Support workers will often be required to collaborate with family and carers as well as other organisations involved with the participants care. CAPS understands the different levels of training and experience in each support worker and aims to place workers with participants they are best suited to. However, support workers will be expected to display a willingness to further their knowledge and expand their capabilities.
The majority of our workers time will be spent taking kids to and from school but workers must be flexible in their willingness to provide in-home or in-community care as well. Shifts may vary across Melbourne surrounding suburbs but we require a worker who is focused within the Western suburbs.
