Role overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Accounts Receivable and Revenue Officer to join our Finance team.

**Key Responsibilities**

Revenue and Invoicing
- Manage the end-to-end invoicing process, ensuring accurate billing based on contractual terms, timesheets, and project milestones.
- Collaborate with project and engagement managers to understand contract scopes and ensure revenue and billing align accordingly.
- Prepare, review, and issue client invoices in accordance with billing cycles and consulting agreements.
- Ensure revenue is recognised accurately and timely in line with AASB 15 / IFRS 15 and internal policies.

Accounts Receivable Management
- Monitor and reconcile accounts receivable balances, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices.
- Engage with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve invoice disputes or delays in payment.
- Maintain up-to-date records of client communications and follow-up actions.
- Provide regular aged debtor reporting and commentary to management.

Controls and Reporting
- Assist in monthly revenue and debtor reporting, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring completeness and accuracy of revenue and

AR balances
- Ensure all data is accurately recorded in the finance systems and aligned with general ledger entries.
- Support external audits by preparing relevant documentation.

Process Improvement and Compliance
- Identify opportunities to improve invoicing, collections, and revenue processes and controls.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, procedures, and accounting standards.
- Management of client portals and registrations.
- Support implementation of system upgrades or automation projects relating to billing and revenue.

**Skills & Experience**
Essential
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or revenue recognition - ideally in a professional services or consulting environment.
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles (e.g. AASB 15 / IFRS 15).
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with clients and internal teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
- Continuous improvement mindset

Desirable
- Experience with time and billing software used in consulting or professional services.
- Familiarity with project-based billing, milestone revenue models, including subscriptions.
- Experience with Salesforce.
- Collaborative and supportive working style

**Qualifications**:

- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA/CA qualification (completed or in progress) is advantageous but not essential.
