The supports provided by Many Rivers Support Services are focused on person centred practice, along with a genuine interest in how our community works and what is important for the people who live and work in our community. We achieve this by providing qualified and knowledgeable support workers, both directly into the community, and to organisations who work within the community we serve.
With our innovative approach and other programs, we continue to work with people to drive positive changes in their lives and to offer as much assistance to the families of supported individuals as we possibly can.
**The Role**
We are currently seeking a Client Services Officer to join our organisation. As part of a person-centred team and individually, carry out lawful duties, directions as given by the line manager, while supporting group/program/individual activities aimed at supporting and assisting vulnerable persons in their living and/or community environment.
The role of Client Services Officer is also expected to present a positive and professional image of Many Rivers Support Services when interacting with supported individuals, family members, advocates, service providers, funding bodies and the general community.
**Key responsibilities-**
- Assist & support NDIS participants
- Strengthen and enhance an individual participants to participate within their community, including providing participants with assistance
- Be the key contact for service challenges, complaints, major changes and plan reviews
- Assist participants to decide on what actions to take in order to achieve goals in relation to exploring housing options and life transition planning
- Maintain confidentiality of customers, their families/carers and the organisation
- Effective networking internally and externally to assist individuals achieve their desired personal outcomes.
- Manage any perceived or real conflict of interest in accordance with the NDIA’s Terms of Business
- Provide NDIA with reports on specific goals, outcomes and success indicators within the agreed reporting frequency
- Enhance Many Rivers Support Services practice and reputation through continuous improvement, business development and innovation.
- Develop strong relationships with customers and their families, carers and advocates, NDIA, other mainstream and disability service providers, members of the community, networking groups, funding bodies, government agencies, auditors and practitioners
- Develop collaborative working relationships with Area Managers, Supported Living Managers, Individual Support Managers and other Client Services Officers
**What we look for**
- Valid and Current NSW Driver’s Licence
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Caring and Compassionate
- Good Communicator and Listener
- Desire to grow in their role
- A relevant qualification in disability services, community services, social work, or a related field is preferred
- Current vaccinations for influenza and COVID-19
