This NSW Government agency is a major service provider who strives to deliver a more consistent and efficient experience within government. This government agency uses data and behavioural insights to drive improvements with government and providing services to NSW. We are looking for someone to start ASAP for a 3 month contract paying $41.59 p/h + Super. This role is located in Newcastle and you will be working full time in the office.

**About the Role**
We are currently seeking to appoint a Client Service Officer with a leading NSW Government agency.
Key accountabilities include:
- Develop strategies and make substitute decisions to manage customer finances including medium to long term planning.
- Communicate and engage with customers to understand their financial needs and existing arrangements, build rapport and consult with the customer to understand aspirations.
- Actively listen to the concerns and enquiries of customers and stakeholders and work to resolve issues.
- Deliver high quality, respectful, consistent, empathetic and timely services to customers.
- Work closely with staff from Estate Planning & Administration and Public Guardian divisions to achieve quality outcomes focused on customer need. Ensure a coordinated approach to customer matters by working closely with team members.
- Access the required systems and processes to support the management of customer matters and actively suggest improvements.
- Escalate complex matters and substantial complaints to the Senior Client Service Officer or Principal Client Service Officer, as required. Discuss progress with Senior Client Service Officer and complete ongoing decisions, budgets and administration.
**About You**
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of the departments key services and customer base including experience working and/or supporting people with disability, vulnerable or older people.
- Willingness to be a part of a rotating phone roster shared on an equitable basis covering morning and afternoon shifts (between the hours of 9.00am to 5.00pm).
- A genuine passion for supporting members of the community.
