**The Role**
ICT Governance and Transformation Branch are seeking an enthusiastic APS 5 Governance Officer to join our Governance and Assurance Team. Your research and analytical skills will be a key contributor to reforming our approach to performance and risk governance, and assisting with delivering quality decision-making support and information to Chief Information Officer Group (CIOG) senior leaders.

This role is an exciting opportunity to use an array of governance and data analysis skills as part of a small and diverse team. The APS 5 Governance Officer will be responsible for collating, analysing and interpreting data from multiple sources, undertaking research and business analysis and assisting in the preparation of reports and dashboards for CIOG senior leaders.

**About our Team**
ICT Service Delivery and Reform Division is at the heart of CIOG, providing high quality advice and corporate services to the Group and wider Defence. The Directorate of Governance and Assurance is a small team that provides high quality and proactive corporate governance services to support sound decision-making.

We are a well skilled team dedicated to continuous improvement and the provision of high quality governance support and advice. Collectively we rely on each other’s knowledge and strengths to achieve strategic outcomes.
- The ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Good written and verbal communication skills and an ability to confidently present messages in a clear, concise and articulate manner
- An ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are highly desirable
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel (understanding of other Business Intelligence (BI) tools an advantage)
- Organisational and time management skills
