Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Assistant Director, AT Sourcing and Market Performance on a contract for 12 months with potential extension.
**About the Role**
The EL1 Assistant Director is accountable under broad direction to undertake complex work that delivers quality outcomes across the functions of the NDIA, and we are seeking a motivated and high performing individual to manage a small team overseeing a range of program and project management activities.
Assistant Directors in the Branch are required to work as part of a team to assist in delivering a range of program and procurement activities and process improvement projects. This role is a team leadership position within the NDIA and will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks. The position will be required to assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development that support the NDIA's objectives to "build a world-leading National Disability Insurance Scheme".
We are looking for someone who thrives on a challenge and has strong leadership and management skills to join our team. A good understanding of the policies of the Australian Government, including the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013, in particular the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and procurement connected policies is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Developing high quality participant-centric and data-driven briefing, analysis, and project advice to the Director and Senior Executives to inform and influence recommendations on AT sourcing, procurement, and market performance issues.
- Manage and undertake AT procurement activities.
- Build productive working relationships and provide clear and concise advice to internal and external stakeholders on key projects and programs of responsibility.
- Assist in identifying and implementing process and system improvements and maintain strong communication channels with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of team outcomes.
- Supervise, develop, and coach staff.
- Identify any compliance and risk issues and offer mitigation strategies.
- Supporting the continued development of the AT Market Strategy for a range of participant cohorts and AT submarkets.
- Provide specialist advice and technical expertise to staff and stakeholders.
- Performing independent research work and analysis including the preparation of draft reports on relevant project activities.
- Coordinating regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports.
- Preparing draft written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation.
