**The Team**

This supportive and welcoming fundraising team of 12 people has been

**commitment, collaboration, community, and respect** in their roles every day. You will join a passionate team committed and dedicated to creating positive change.

**The Role - Philanthropy Manager**

Reporting to the General Manager of Fundraising, the role of Philanthropy Manager is responsible for
**maximising philanthropic revenue** through Major Donors ($5000>) and Trusts and Foundations. You will also ensure increased revenue through grants, with external support.

You will
**take the lead **in driving their
**dedication to relationship fundraising** and ensure that they
**remain the best** at donor recognition and impact. As Philanthropy Manager you will embrace their commitment to their supporters ensuring their donors of all levels are treated with
**respect, honesty, and openness.**

You will be confident building solid
**relationships cross-team** to build strong case for support information and build relationships with researchers, support leaders, and those impacted directly by this disease.

**strategic thinking** and experience in philanthropy.

**Responsibilities**
- Lead and implement the major gift fundraising strategy, fund research, capital, and supporter-funded programs
- Research, identity, cultivate, solicit, and implement best practice stewardship of relationships
- Work with the marketing team to develop engaging cases for support
- Build and steward relationships with Trusts and Foundations to improve income and inspire support
- Ensure the grant acquittal process is conducted in accordance with relevant guidelines
- In collaboration with Donor Development Manager support the delivery of Gift in Wills stewardship and engagement communications
- Track and report relationship management activity to achieve revenue goals
- Report on key program metrics to demonstrate program health, identify risks, and monitor relationship activity

**Your Skills & attributes**
- To fit this incredible team, you will need to be donor-centric and self-driven
- Demonstrated success in strengthening a major gift program through your relationships
- Exemplary interpersonal skills, listening, empathy, and diplomacy
- Confidence to inspire and engage through great story-telling skills
- Negotiation and problem-solving skills, comfortable with larger gift asks (up to $100k)
- Demonstrated high-level fundraising skills, including the ability to identify opportunities and implement innovative solutions
- Experience in using a fundraising CRM (Raiser’s Edge highly regarded
