**About the role**
The Philanthropy Lead contributes all activities in relation to philanthropy and individual giving to achieve financial targets. This role is responsible for the administration, management, and stewardship of donors for major gifts, philanthropic programs, trusts and foundations, as well as bequests. It is also responsible for the management of individual giving and cultivation events.
There is an emphasis on developing and maintaining relationships with key donors (including trusts and foundations), as well as working with internal Service Delivery, Revenue and Marketing teams to deliver effective philanthropic campaigns and events.
This role is Permanent Full-time (37.5 hours/week).
**About you**
**Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills**
**Essential Skills**:
- Demonstrated track record of identifying, developing and securing high-value gifts from major donors - ability to close the deal.
- High-level communication & interpersonal skills - EI - (written, face to face, telephone, social media).
- Proven ability and track record of inspiring philanthropists to donate large gifts, and in managing high-level relationships.
- A results-oriented attitude, with demonstrated experience in developing a gift plan and achieving targets.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, including high-quality writing abilities in developing proposals and other material.
- Excellent multi-tasking, planning and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated creativity and initiative, as well as the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong analytical skills and working knowledge of databases.
- A professional and resourceful style with the ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Experience working with senior management, non-profit boards, external agencies and other key stakeholders.
**Desirable Skills**:
- Experience in a similar role in a not-for-profit organisation in Australia.
- Relevant higher education degree.
- Demonstrated commitment to for purpose organisations.
**Your Leadership Contribution**
