**About the role**

The Reconciliations and Accounts payable Manager will oversee, support and control the delivery of services across the organisation, includes accounts payable, expense reimbursements, corporate credit cards, bank reconciliation, liquidity management and reconciliations. This role will be the liaison with key relationship stakeholders e.g. banks and Amex, and administrator for myGovID access.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Staff supervision and development throughout all roles in the team (4-5 staff)
- Responsible for reviewing all payments produced by the team prior to payment, includes but not limited to invoices, expense reimbursements and corporate credit card transactions
- Review and ensure transactions are properly processed and authorised daily, in an accurate and timely manner.
- Responsible for reviewing daily and monthly solvency calculations and ensure calculation is align to HCF Liquidity Policy.
- Accountable for compiling information required for Payment Times Reporting Act
- In conjunction with the Financial Controller, meet with bankers to review performance of services supplied and fees structure
- Review and ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliations and appropriate working papers are completed in accordance with the account reconciliation policy
- Proactively evaluate processes and procedures, looking for efficiencies and improvements to the status quo
- Understand the rationale for each transaction code in the core system (**TechnologyOne**)- Actively participate in all regulatory compliance activities associated with this role including required training, meetings and information sessions

**What you need to be successful in this role:
- Previous experience managing, leading and motivating a team across reconciliations and accounts payable
- Bank reconciliations and account payable experience
- Business qualification in accounting/ finance highly desired, or the equivalent experience
- Commercially astute, with strong numeracy skills
- Expert Microsoft excel

- High level of initiative to challenge and improve existing policies and procedures
- The ability to positively represent the Finance department and HCF when dealing with internal and external customers
