Key responsibilities as the Principal Cultural Capability Officer, you will specifically:

- Develop and provide policy advice on emerging opportunities and issues, and maintain a comprehensive overview on current reforms, developments and strategies impacting the department's commitments to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- Liaise and consult with other teams and with various other areas within the Department to provide evidence-based advice and support to develop strategic practical solutions to assist the reform agenda to deliver positive outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people and their families and reduce disproportionate representation.
- Support the implementation of cultural capability across Youth Justice Services.
- Prepare high level advice on current practice, relevant policy implications, legislation and programs and the preparation of a range of written material including cabinet submissions, executive correspondence, briefing material and information

papers in relation to service delivery of youth justice services.
- Lead, coordinate, plan, implement and monitor progress of projects within tight timeframes to achieve desired outcomes.
- Work within a team environment to support the activities of team members and contribute to the promotion of an accountable and equitable work environment as delegated by the Manager.
