**The Informatics Department**
The Informatics Department provides a comprehensive support service to the Women’s. The Clinical Informatics Officer (Virtual Care and Portals) role sits within the Informatics Department which has 4 key portfolios:
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Business Intelligence & Analytics
- Health Information Services
- Archives
The EMR is used by more than 18,000 clinicians and staff across the four health services and is delivered in partnership with Epic, a global leader in health information technology.
**About the role**
The Clinical Informatics Officer (Virtual care and Portals) is primarily responsible for the design, testing, delivery and optimisation of build and workflows in the EMR relating to new virtual care and portal initiatives as well as measuring successes and benefits of this work.
Responsibilities also include:
- ensuring existing tools and functionalities are sustained and expanded where required and as directed by the Senior Clinical Informatics Analysts and/or Director of Informatics.
- provide support & system configuration for Virtual Care and Portals
- review, analyse, evaluate and document system and workflow needs to develop fit for purpose workflows
- work collaboraively with RWH EMR team, Patient Experience team. Parkville EMR team and all key stakeholders within the Women's
- active partcipant of Virtual Care and Health Hub working groups/committee(s)
**About you**
To be successful within this role you will need to have:
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field along and/or relevant industry experience
- Enthusiastic and driven to improve care using process design and technology.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of established administrative processes.
Good organisation and time management skills.
