ARA Security is an innovative integrator of electronic security services providing high-quality integrated security and locksmith solutions to the largest clients across Australia and New Zealand. An Australian, employee-owned business that is part of the ARA Group, ARA Security provides clients with security solutions such as security alarm systems, access control, CCTV and digital video recording, artificial intelligence, identification solutions and locksmith services.

Due the continued growth and winning of new contracts we need an additional Security Technician to service some of our Major and high-profile clients within Melbourne and Surrounding areas.

A Security Technician carries out troubleshooting and service of installed equipment at client sites to ensure systems are maintained in the correct working order. These tasks are assigned by the Service Manager/ Coordinator and must be completed in the required time frames, to the required standard and in a manner which complies with the WHS Policies of ARA Security.

To be successful you must have the following strengths :

  • Tecom/Challenger experience
  • Geutebruck
  • March Networks
  • IP CCTV systems & integration
  • Fundamental TCP/IP networking knowledge
  • Adhere to strict service level agreements.
  • Strong level electronic fundamental knowledge
  • Working under pressure and unsupervised
  • Excellent Time Management
  • Strong Computer Skills
  • Strong Communication skills & Organisational skills
  • Strong knowledge of most commonly used security equipment

Desirable knowledge on the following:

  • Tecom, Concept/Inner Range/Integrity, Gallagher, Genetec, March Networks, Geutebruck, S2, Lenel, ICT Protégé WX/GX all preferred.
