**Description**:
Are you a skilled Financial Analyst looking for an exciting opportunity to contribute to the enhancement of Brisbane's green spaces? Look no further We're seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our client in Council's Parks Branch as a Financial Analyst on an initial 3-month contract.
What You'll Do:
As a Financial Analyst within the Parks Branch, you will play a pivotal role in driving the financial management of our Capital, Asset Replacement, and Operational programs. Your expertise will be focused on delivering forward-looking business outcomes and fostering continuous improvement in our operations. You will be at the heart of strategic financial decision-making, ensuring that our resources are optimized for maximum impact.
Your Qualifications:

- A degree in Accounting, Business, or a related Financial discipline is essential.
- Membership or eligibility for membership in a Professional Accounting Body (CPA/CA) is desirable.

Your Experience:

- You'll bring extensive practical accounting experience to the table, showcasing your proficiency in analyzing and reporting on financial matters.
- Previous experience with cost accounting procedures and systems, particularly as applicable to capital programs and other financial business activities, would be a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of local government operations will be highly regarded.
